The Difference With Our Puppy Food

If you are reading this, then you care about what goes into your puppy and are ready for the truth about puppy food.

The main reason puppy food was made was due to the fact that puppies where struggling to thrive when eating a diet full of grain. So, manufacturers started removing fillers and replacing them with more quality ingredients and called it puppy food. Puppies obviously did better on it and over the decades we all have become accustom to feeding puppies puppy food.

When your puppy is ready to eat solid food, it is ready to eat what mom and dad eat.

To be completely frank, there is no difference between the formula we use for our Puppy food and our All Life Stages food. The only difference between the two is that our Puppy food has a smaller kibble size than our All Life Stages food.

Here are the reasons why:

  1. A lot of our food is sold to breeders. When a new mother is nursing her pups, she tends to have a sensitive stomach. Changing the type of food she has access to could cause major problems for her and when introducing solid food to puppies it is very difficult to keep the mom from eating it as well. We fixed that problem by creating puppy food that mom and the puppies can eat together. A puppy will eat 2-3 times more as a percent of body weight than an adult will. This means that if a puppy has access to quality food it will get all of its nutritional needs met through volume.
  2. We have the correct amount of nutrients of every stage of your dog’s life. Once they are weaned from their mother, they are ready to have the levels of proteins and fats that we have in our food. That is also the correct amount to help them sustain a long healthy and happy life.
  3. This way the puppy food can be used for small dogs who have trouble chewing and still give them everything they need!

Choose the food that best fits your dog. Whichever choice you make will be the right choice. You can’t go wrong with any of our kibbles.
